I am pleased to say "Omegaland" is a welcome new addition

As an owner of 300 tarot decks (yes, each thoughtfully collected), I am pleased to say "Omegaland" is a welcome new addition. The imagery is unique, accessible, thought provoking. I am a fan of post apocalyptic fantasy and this fills the bill. I also appreciate that famle images are respectfully portrayed as strong- but not 'manlike'- capable people. I love it!

Everyone and everything has gone havoc, find ultimate salvation!

The Omealand card deck contains 78 cards plus 6 additional cards. Now, let me break it down for you and explain why it contains 83 cards. This card deck is a tarot deck and a card game combined into one. The 78 cards are your standard tarot cards (Majors, Suits, and Courts). The 6 bonus cards are instruction pamphlets that explain a little bit how some of the cards will serve in this game. Of course, a more detail explanation on how to work with the card game is explained in back of the Little White Book pages. Please be advice that this tarot deck is a tad gruesome since it illustrates a little bit of gore and violence in some of the cards.

The illustration for the Judgment card takes the interpretation of the card literally. Somewhere in the canyons, a young man wearing a red sweater and brown cargo pants with a rifle hanging from his shoulder has his hand extended, wiling to pick a man up from the ground who lays in a state of exhaustion and hunger. I wonder, will this young man help the old man and take him to salvation, or will he shoot him with his rifle and take him out of his misery?

The illustration for the 10 of Sword takes the meaning and traditional illustration to a fault. Lying on the ground is the body of a young man who has been shot with approximately 10 arrows!!! Hos body lies on the floor on top of his blood. 10 bow and arrows point at his direction in a circle. Who did this? Why did they do this? Was this young man an innocent victim or a on the run convict?

In the Queen of Coins card we have a young and sweet woman who sits on top of a rusted metal tank and rests her foot on top of a yellow box. She is snacking food out of a Campbell soup can. She appears to be somewhere in an alley waiting for someone who may be in need of help. But to me, she’s not as sweet as she seems to be. She has something hanging over her should. In that box where she rest her foot may contain explosives such a TNTs or grenades and whatever is hanging across her should is her weapon of choice.

The backs of the cards are reversible and consist of the image of a wooden fence.

The size of the cards are approximately 3” x 5”.

The cards slim and are beyond sturdy and hold up very well when shuffling. The cards have a matted feel. They are non slippery.

The deck of cards comes in an original US Game tuck box that has slightly the same quality of the cards.

The text in the little white book is written by Joe Boginski and Karen Boginski. Joe Boginski writes the introduction and the card interpertations and Karen Boginski writes the instructions on how to play the game. The LWB starts of with an introduction, the card interpretations, instructions on how to use the cards, and then one card spread. After that, you will find a page that says The Game, Quick Overview, 3-Plater Game, A chard that explains the Leader of the Games Goals, and the Scoring. Then a Free For All, 4-to-6 Player Game, and Major Powers.

The images in the cards are done by Joe Boginski. The medium for the art is non-computer generated and is done by hand. The art appears to have a mix of chalk and color pencil.

This is the first time that I see a tarot deck that can be used as a card game. Many us are familiar that several centuries ago, tarot was actually a card game, but that’s a different story. I like how the images on the cards are real life and actual situations that have or may have happened. The theme and concept of this tarot deck highly reminds me of the theme and concept of the motion picture The Purge and Television program The Walking Dead. Why you may ask? Because the characters are running around with no laws and order. They are killing people and betraying people to survive, therefore, I’m impressed that Joe Boginski didn’t create this tarot deck to be lovely and friendly and that it has gore and violence going on in it and Karen Boginski created this tarot deck to be used as a card game that can be played between family and friends on a raining day. These five stars are not because this is a great Tarot Deck, but because this is a great fun deck. It's like having endless adventures in the grim future if you use it like an old fashioned Pulp Witer's Story Wheel. If you are serious about The Tarot this is not for you. If you want a deck of cards you can use to prod and prompt your imagination this is the best I have found thus far.

Joan Bird spins wonderful tales filled with wit, class, and intelligence.

I bought this book at a literacy book signing in San Diego in July, and just finally got to read it. "Sam's Gift" and "Amy's Wish" are two beautifully written stories about heartache and longing, and coming alive again when a "bug" gets into your heart. The wordplay in "Sam's Gift" is funny and touching, and both Lizzie and Amy are delightful heroines with a witty turn of phrase.

"Sam's Gift" is set in NYC. Jake lost Sam when the South Tower went down on 9/11, and his life turned gray...until 8 years later, an unusual manuscript, smelling faintly of pizza, is shoved under his office door, and he reaches out to Lizzie, the author. I truly loved this story.

"Amy's Wish" is a story about how sometimes family can be unrelentingly unforgiving, and what seems true to 9-year-old Amy can be finally understood 18 years later...with the help of Eric, a man who is learning alcohol won't solve his problems. Amy is also a writer, and Eric works for Jake of "Sam's Gift."

Joan Bird spins a wonderful tale filled with wit, class, and intelligence.

Set in a small southern Michigan city in the early 90s, Winners and Losers is a rollicking dark comedy starring Tom Slotrak, a young man who wins the jackpot in the Michigan Lottery and the crazy and (sometimes) adventures he has afterwards. He learns the hard way that money can’t buy happiness but that it sure can lead to some very funny and bizarre experiences!

At the beginning of the story, Tom is 26 but feels older because he’s bored with his life and feels rootless. He’s engaged to Erica Wonders: She’s smart and good looking and doesn’t treat him too badly, but Tom is bored with the relationship and doesn’t really love her anymore. He’s thinking about how he might be able to break off the engagement without all hell breaking loose. Though Tom is engaged to Erica, when he’s at work he has a hard time keeping his mind and his eyes off clerk and administrative assistant Lena Coffee. Sexy, flirty, and funny, Lena is Tom’s fantasy woman. Rumor has it that she has a boyfriend in a motorcycle gang, but she is just flirty enough and just nice enough to Tom for him to believe it’s not quite impossible that he and Lena could hook up. They end up having a secret affair.

However, Tom gets laid off from his job as an accountant at Allied Nuclear Corporation after a plant closing. He soon runs out of money and tries to find a new job but without much luck—eventually having to settle for shoveling manure for minimum wage at Meadowlark Farms. Erica is fed up with him, and it seems as if he’ll soon hit rock bottom. He’s down to his last $17, and even though he knows he shouldn’t, he buys a ticket for the Michigan Lottery at Joe’s Gas Mart. He barely makes the effort to check his ticket again the winning number when it’s announced on TV, but when he does, the seemingly impossible happens: His ticket matches the winning number!

Erica is absolutely thrilled, but Tom isn’t as happy as might be expected after such a turn of good fortune. With Tom tagging along, Erica goes on a giant spending spree. When he’s not shopping with Erica, everybody on planet Earth, it seems, tries to hit him up for money. The fortune has made Tom’s alienation from Erica worse, and he ends up breaking off the engagement. The end of his engagement makes him much sadder than he ever would have imagined, but he at least hopes it will be the beginning of a new life for him. Before he even has a chance to think about what he’ll do in the future, though, Lena calls him to tell him her boyfriend found out about their affair and is threatening to kill Tom, so he decides to leave town with hardly a moment’s notice. Now that he has so much money, he doesn’t necessarily think that’s such a bad thing, and he makes his way to Florida after an adventure at a hillbilly bar in Tennessee.

Tom ends up in Key West and thinks he’ll like it there, but he gets a shock when he goes to an ATM and is refused a withdrawal. Before long, he learns that Erica has sued him claiming the winning ticket really belonged to her and that a judge in Michigan has frozen his bank accounts! Broke again, Tom must again go out and look for a job. He hires in as a salesman at Florida Guano, where he meets secretary/receptionist Honey Sweetwater. All she seems to do at the office is work on her nails and looked bored. Tom soon finds, however, that she has pretty, mischievous eyes and a great sense of humor. Before long, the two of them are going out together and having a great time. Tom’s career at Florida Guano skids to a halt pretty quickly, but Tom and Honey have quite an adventure when they are invited to the Gothic mansion of Mr. Fabulous, the mysterious billionaire owner of Florida Guano.

Finally, the case of Wonders vs. Slotrak goes on trial, and Tom returns to Michigan. A legal battle to end all battles ensues, and Tom knows that the whole rest of his life. Will he end up rich and living a dream with Honey or will he end up right back where he was after he lost his job at Allied

Such an amazing book. It's full of surprises

Such an amazing book. It's full of surprises, the mood is hopeful, steady pace and greatly developed characters. Tom is a young man with an adult personality. He has many unanswered questions about his life. He's engaged but not in love. He doesn't manage to keep his eyes off one girl from work. That girl is his fantasy woman. After a full roller-coaster of surprises and stories in between, Tom somehow finds himself looking for a new job, and that's my friends where the story really begins. Sex, erotica, adventures, trips and so much more. This book is a masterpiece of written ideas.

Not only this book delivers so much fun and enjoyment, it is also written in a light & funny way that makes it even better.
One of the best reads I had in a long time. Super recommended.

A very fun read

This book turned out to be one of the more enjoyable reads I've had in years. It's the first fiction book I can remember that kept me up reading too late at night, and made me sorry it was over at the end. Skillfully written, lots of laugh-out-loud moments,
unpredictable plot twists, and well-drawn characters. I've started a lot of fiction books in recent years and ended up
quitting them, because I just wasn't enjoying them. This author hasn't forgotten that above all, a book should be
fun to read.

Surprised!

The book is full of surprises. Tom seems like he's having an internal crisis and when everything was going downhill for him, he won a lottery ticket. The entire plot is full of twists, you may or may not expect; Either way, it delivers the promise of an enjoyable read. If you want to read something light and funny, this book is highly recommended. It's a simple reminder of things come to us when we least expect it.
