Looks like the first book in a possible NEW SERIES offered by the 50 Things To Know series people.

This book appears to be a great start of a possible new series. I read all of the questions presented and quickly processed them for myself. I definitely plan to go through each one again with in-depth study.

The author and team of writers are apparently not strangers to publishing e-books. I have read many of them on my kindle. I REALLY hoped for precise quality proofreading to be in place by now; however, that is unfortunately not the case. There are quite a few typos throughout that actually distracted the flow of my reading. SOME even caused a few of the questions to be difficult to understand.

I enjoyed the book. I am compelled to deduct 1 Star for typos and related confusion. Recommended with a 4 Star Rating in its current state. Hopefully, the author will find a way to solve the recurring typographical error problem in this book as well as the other published works.

In these vignettes of expatriate life, the vividness of the writing not only captivated me but also immersed me into George's world. I enjoyed the book very much being able to see the situation and feel camaraderie with the characters. With shades of Dave Barry and Erma Bombeck, I would recommend this book to anyone who dreams of "tooling around" in Mexico or other out of the way place.

Great Super Size Puzzles - Insomniacs Rejoice!

Very challenging! These Extra Large logic puzzles range in size from 60 x 15 pixels to a huge 100 x 75! The giant puzzles had to be reduced to a small size to fit on the 8 1/2 x 11" pages, so you'll want to have some fine-tipped pencils or pens available, and a book-marker or other straightedge to help keep your place. There are 95 puzzles so this could take a while to go through. As with all images, the more pixels, the greater the detail of the picture, so if you've got the patience to do them, you won't be disappointed. The one thing that I really wish Griddlers would do is to make their books spiral-bound for greater ease of puzzle solving.

Surprising and witty

Having received this story as a gift, no strings attached, its concept got me quite interested - a short story as a prequel and teaser to a novel. (The title is perfectly suited for the story, so don't take any points away from it simply because it is a phrase that is overused as a title in general!) The text certainly kept my interest and intrigued me enough to want to read the sequel. The cool, smooth, ominous tone of the conversation between the conman and the devil is quite an interesting read, and the style flows evenly, witty and enticing. The author has skillfully organized the text to show both the characters' words and thoughts without ever being confusing. The baseline of the plot is cleverly set, and you actually find out quite a lot about the main anti-hero in only a few words. The constant rhythm exchange between a playful tone and the dark background is like listening to a really good jig played live by a great band at a pub (Irish connotation here is a slight spoiler alert). You can quite see the setting and think to yourself 'what if...'. I quite enjoyed with how the author plays around with some historical figures. The religious overtones, and undertones, are unavoidable, which is why blurbs matter and help. You may or may not agree with the author's take on things, but this twisted horror scene can really make you grin and think. Recommended as Halloween warm-up!

The devil can spot the fear, anger and evil in a person remember he feeds off it. What would you do if the devil wanted to befriend you just to offer you his position? Jack gets this invitation when the devil walks into his bar. Jack is minding his own business until he is approached and starts a conversation with an unusual person.

This man doesn’t look the way one would picture the devil but Jack’s courage compels him to entertain the conversation. When the offer comes a person would think Jack would run the other way and tell the devil to move on. Talk about making the wrong decision but what can Jack do. Jack knows the type of person he is and has been so he does fits the job description.

Rocky Rochford sets the scene in The Devil You Know capturing the reader’s attention even though you know this would never happen. This introduction before The Devil Don’t makes you want to know what Jack does in the rest of the story so it does do its job.

Lucien is back, but it's Roger & Angela that'll steal your heart!

I’m a huge fan of this author and her De Montforte series so when this little gem showed up on Amazon, it was a no brainer I had to read it.

Lucien de Montforte, the Duke of Blackheath is a meddler and a matchmaker so it’s not a great surprise to me that he’s up to his old tricks once more with his best friend and his cousin. He uses an old portrait as a bait for his invited guests, Sir Roger and Angela.

And although I loved visiting with Lucien and Eva, I actually adored the visiting couple. Both have distinctive personalities and traits that the other is weary of, yet both are feeling the attraction for each other and are in a quandary about how to best handle it.

If you’ve never read this author, here is a perfect little gem for you to savor her wonderful writing voice, prose and characterization. This sweet, sensual and utterly fun story is sure to bring you couple of hours of joy and have you grabbing her FREE offer of the first book of her De Montforte Brothers series The Wilde One. And once you read that story, well, you’ll be hooked for life!

SWEET And Deep Novella

Lucien De Montforte, Duke of Blackheath is at it again...meddling in the love life of those around him. Fortunately for his friend Fox and distant cousin Angela, his meddling is driven by his need to play Cupid for those around him. Don't tell him I told you that, it would just go to His Grace's head.

Fox is haunted by his sister's death on Christmas Day three years ago. Angela is a widower whose husband died after a fall during a hunt. The coincidence? Used to bring them together is a DeMontforte ancestors painting, with an amazing resemblance to Angela, that Fox has had a crush on for eons. It's meant to be and fitting that Angela can heal Fox's hurt soul at Christmastime.

Heartwarming Novella, A Christmas Miracle...Del Montforte Style!

On a cold, snowy Christmas Eve, two lonely individuals- both on their way to spend Christmas at Blackheath Castle, but neither knowing the other, find themselves stranded in a roadside inn for the night. Unusual circumstances, however, forced an early introduction. Sir Roger Foxcote, Esquire, best friend to Lucien Del Montforte, was not feeling the Christmas spirit, for he was mourning the loss of his little sister, three years past. For Sir Roger, Christmas was a time that he wanted to just forget. He had settled in his room with a bottle of brandy to wait out the night. It was the arrival of the other guest, the Dowager Baroness of Twyford, to the little inn, that set the night on its ear. A fight ensued downstairs over her alleged horse thievery. From her perspective, she had rescued an abused horse from its owner. The owner didn't see things that way and was demanding recompense and justice. Knowing that Sir Roger, the local magistrate was upstairs in his inn, the innkeeper brought Sir Roger downstairs, away from his brandy and into the middle of the 'horse fray.' Sir Roger, thinking to end the argument in an even-handed way, and avoid for the lady what he felt would be a much more costly punishment of Horse Thievery, required her to purchase the horse, paying a sum that she found outrageous. He was unaware of her poor financial circumstances, and totally unaware that she, too, would be on her way to the Duke of Blackhealth's home, as an invited guest the next morning. As a result of this exchange, the Lady Twyford found Sir Roger insufferable. Sir Roger found the Dowager Baroness of Twyford, for all of her five and twenty years...shrewish. Both hoped they never saw the other again.

When the Dowager Baroness of Twyford, cousin to Lucien, arrived at Blackheath castle, it follows that Lucien is up to his old matchmaking tricks again. He and his Duchess (now his accomplice to his schemes) both agree that Angel (the Dowager Baroness) and Sir Roger could be good together. She is a widow with little to no money, and in need of someone who could love her. Sir Roger, as it happens is in love with a portrait of one of Lucien and Angel's ancestresses - who looks just like Angel. It could work, they think. But they are unaware of the circumstances of the prior meeting.

There is a painting of Angel's great, great, great, great-something x great grandmother- who looks exactly like Angel. Roger has always loved that painting. The plan is Lucien's. Lucien plans to give the painting of that relative to Angel in hopes that Roger can transfer his infatuation to the living and breathing human being and fall in love. Lucien wants his best friend to be happy And he wants his cousin to be happy. However, when the two meet at dinner, Sir Roger explodes upon figuring out what Lucien is up to, and proposes to leave. Angel plans to leave at sunrise to collect her new 'horse.' Lucien begins to manipulate things. Lucien impresses upon Sir Roger that it would be the gentlemanly thing to do, if he could at least go and help her get the horse from the inn, making sure the innkeeper doesn't take advantage of her financially.

Lucien keeps his hands in things, to be sure...and interest begins to take place between the two. But is it enough? Because of his recent infatuation, Angel isn't sure she can take a chance on Roger. Can he love her, or will he always love the picture of her ancestor?

This story is a real test of Lucien's talents. It is a story of hope, love and trust. It's a heartwarming story that gives two people reason to believe in Christmas miracles. I found that once I started reading, I did not want to put the story down. When the story ended, I found myself wanting more, but not regretting that this story ended. I wanted to read more of the Del Montfortes. I wanted to read more of Lucien's fun exploits - and I cannot wait to see what his young Augustus becomes! Danelle Hamon has developed a wonderful family of characters that we, her readers, have come to know. We look forward to their adventures!
