About the Author
Molly Tabachnikov was born and grew up in the Bronx, NY. She graduated from Barnard College in 1964 and went on to receive her Masters from NYU. She started teaching English in a junior high school on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and found she loved it. After ten years she moved on to teach in a high school in the Bronx. Reading science fiction and watching sci-fi movies and television shows has been a passion of hers since she was twelve years old. When she and her husband retired from teaching after thirty years, she was able to indulge that passion. She has published this collection of short stories and two novels, Whispers in the Night and Lessons in Space. In addition, she has written a book of poetry, Inside/Out. She currently divides her time between south Florida and western Massachusetts, two excellent environments for writing.

A Provocative Future

It Could Be is a collection of ten short stories written by science fiction author, Molly Tabachnikov. They offer a provocative view of a future involving sentient robots, computer vacations, and genetically enhanced children. However, my favorite story was a contemporary piece called Lessons about a teacher who witnesses something she can't explain. All ten stories were well-written and entertaining. I recommend It Could Be to anyone looking for a quick escape from their daily life.
